Animals
We believe the experience to care for live animals stimulates scientific curiosity, while giving children many life lessons in kindness and responsibility. The Starfish Academy classroom houses many different varieties of animals and the children actively participate in their care. We use guide books and reference materials to learn about the habits, origins, and care of each animal.
The children learn so much about the different animals and are always so excited to share what they have learned with their parents and siblings. The hands-on approach allows them wonderful and unusual experiences to participate and adds meaningful learning to our science curriculum.
